The film club held in the LRC after school will now run every Wednesday. Students can come and watch a film on the big screen and sit on the extra large beanbags. The foyer in the LRC gives details of the films each week.

The Scholastic Book Fair will arrive tomorrow. So why not come along and take a look there will be lots of great fiction for you to choose from. Prices start from £2.99.
The Gryphon LRC catalogue is now available to mobile users by downloading the app for their i-pad, i-pod, i-phone or android phone. All students have been given a login and will be able to look up resources, link to websites and check the items they have on loan without even visiting the LRC.

Blood Red Road & Dust Lands
Local author Moira Young has shot to fame with her first book Blood Red Road winning the 2011 Costa Children’s Book Award. Mrs Hoskins has stewarded with her at the Bath Kids Lit Fest and was surprised to recognise Moira at a launch for Blood Red Road at a Library conference in 2010. Both books are available to borrow from the LRC.
This is the seventh book in the series will be snapped up by keen fans of Jeff Kinney and will be available in the school LRC shortly.
